Road plates and trench covers have a range of uses including road construction, excavation, vehicle traffic or pedestrian access ways.

Our road plates (aka trench covers) are made from 350 premium grade steel, using a higher grade steel ensures strength and durability. All our plates come standard with lifting eyes and fixing holes, we also fit them with a lift plate in the centre. Using a ranger lift hook makes it easy and safe to move the plates around.

Common applications of steel road plates:

Trenches - covering open trenches during construction or maintenance.
Potholes - in severe cases covering large potholes.
Pedestrian access - providing safe walkways for pedestrians during excavation or construction.
Driveways - covering a ditch or smoothing out steep driveway entrances.
Construction excavation - Covering large holes during excavation works.

A suitable forklift, excavator or other machine will be required for unloading/loading.

Hiab delivery/collection - Our truck
- We have a small hiab that can carry up to 5 road plates per trip. If you require more plates we can send a second truck to site.
- An allowance of 15 minutes for set up and the first plate is made, then 10 minutes per plate after that.
- The flat rate covers Albany to Pukekohe to Kumeu. We are happy traveling further, additional costs will apply to cover time, fuel and RUC's.
- Our truck has a 3.75m reach so plates can be placed next to a driveway or work area. A hiab contractor will be required if you need the plates placed over objects, or a fair distance from truck access etc.

Hiab delivery/collection - Contractor
Hiab contractors generally charge $180 to $300 + GST per hour.

Contractors charge from when they leave THEIR yard, to when they return to THEIR yard. Not only the trip between site and our yard. As a guide, you're generally looking at $350 to $500 + GST each way for a hiab contractor.
